Blogmas Day 2: Random Acts of Kindness

On The Second Day of Blogmas...
The Berger’s wrote for you: Two Random Acts of Kindness!

Today, the theme of Blogmas is Random Acts of Kindness. I love this because giving is so important. I believe that you have to give to get and this time of year is the perfect time to start giving to others if you haven’t before! There are so many opportunities to give around Christmas - you can fill boxes of toys for children, or do toys for tots, you can give blankets and sweaters or jackets to the homeless to provide warmth, you can make bags for the needy and provide them with essentials (toothbrush, toothpaste, protein bars, water bottles, etc.) or you could donate your time and go to a soup kitchen, or other place in need of volunteers. There are SO many opportunities. I will definitely be helping others by doing some of the things I listed above, but I wanted to share with you what I am doing today!

Today, I am going to pay for the persons coffee/meal behind me in the drive through at Starbucks on my way to work (this is actually on my 101 in 1001 list). You might be thinking that this isn’t that big of a deal compared to some of the other ways to help, but imagine the happiness it will bring to someone! I wish I could see their face when they hear that their meal or drink has already been paid for! I cannot wait.

Another way I am going to give back today is by cleaning out my closet and donating warm clothes that I do not wear to a charity that needs them. I recently cleaned out my closet, so I am really hoping I have enough things that I can give away!

How are you going to give back this Holiday season?
