The Berger Bungalow: Blogmas Day 1: Our Holiday Traditions

Blogmas Day 1: Our Holiday Traditions
Posted on:12.09.2015

Happy Hump Day everyone!!! I have been working on something really cool for you guys over the past week. I am so excited to join The 12 Days of Blogmas this year with a bunch of other awesome bloggers [you can find them here: The Coastie Couple & The Petite Mrs]! Over the next month, I will be writing 12 holiday themed posts for you guys! Isn’t that awesome?! I’m going to jump right in to todays topic.

On The First Day of Blogmas...
The Berger’s wrote for you: One holiday Tradition!

In my December Goals post, I talked about how all of our family traditions were going away and how I had to start creating new ones. Coming up with and creating holiday traditions is such a hard task! I want to make sure it is not something we would get tired of for years to come and that it would be fun for not only ourselves, but others as well.

The most important thing to me is family, so I really wanted to think of a way that would bring the family together during the holidays and have a lot of fun. One of the new traditions we are starting is a get together on the 23rd. We have decided that this year, we are either going to have a girls tea, or go ice skating. I think both of these options sound like fun & they are things that can go on for years to come. I still need to figure out the exact details of everything like who is coming and where we are going, but I’m so, so excited to start this new tradition!

While I am at it, I will also share my favorite past tradition that we had. My entire family would get together at my Grandma’s house on Christmas Eve and eat food, drink wine, give presents and really just enjoy time together. On our way back from my Grandma’s, we would always look for “The Christmas Tree Building.” On 75 North, right outside of Atlanta, there is a building that creates a Christmas tree with their lights every single year. It is one of my favorite things to see because it reminds me of all the amazing times we had. This year, my sister and I are having a smaller, but just as fun Christmas Eve with ourselves, our husband and her daughter, Emma (plus anyone else that wants to come)! I cannot wait!

What is your favorite Holiday Tradition?
