The Berger Bungalow: Shamrock Shake Up

Shamrock Shake Up

Can you believe that next week is St. Patricks Day?! I know that I can’t. When Rachel and I decided to do a St. Patty’s Day Meal Series for y’all (don’t forget to check out the Reuben Crostini Appetizer & Fish N Chips recipe if y’all missed it), I initially had no idea what I was going to make for the drink. I searched online for a few hours and found nothing that stuck out. I actually ended up choosing a recipe to make, but wasn’t thrilled, so I switched it up! I talked with my friend, Tyler who also happens to be a bartender and he gave me this awesome recipe! It doesn’t make a bright green color like some other St. Patty’s drinks, but that’s because I wanted to go more natural and not use food coloring, or anything of that sort. I ended up using pre-made simple syrup, but you should 100% make your own. It would have been SO much better. We were just in a rush when we made them, and took the easy way out. Haha! Try it out and let me know what you think, and don’t forget to pair it with Rachel’s Irish Cream Cake!

Ingredients
1 oz. green chartreuse
1 oz. lime juice
1 oz. rosemary infused simple syrup
1 oz. gin

Steps
You are going to take each of the ingredients, and put it all in a shaker with ice. Shake it all up and serve! For the Rosemary infused simple syrup, I just took fresh rosemary and let it soak in my simple syrup for a few hours. Super easy to make!!

Before you go, don’t forget to check out Rachel’s dessert! Look how yummy it looks!
